What we do

Home Remodeling Services

Lamont Bros. designs and builds kitchens, bathrooms, basements, whole-home remodels, additions, and ADUs for homeowners across the Portland metro and Southwest Washington, with one in-house team under one contract.

Every project has one superintendent on site from start to finish. That’s how projects finish within 2 days of the scheduled completion date and within 5% of the projected cost.

Lamont Brothers recently completed a major renovation of our mid-century daylight ranch house: complete remodel of kitchen, dining room, living room, stairs, master bedroom, and master bath. Walls were removed and skylights were added.

We are extremely pleased with the entire process. I was grateful for the kindness, consideration and respect for our space and our time shown by the team. I highly recommend Lamont Brothers.

We recently completed a kitchen and bathroom remodel in Beaverton with Lamont Bros, and the entire experience was outstanding from start to finish.

I always knew what was happening with my project, and the team communicated clearly at every step—never leaving me guessing.

Their craftsmanship and attention to detail were exceptional, and the finished result matched exactly what I envisioned during design.

– Katherine

HIGHLY RECOMMEND Lamont Bros! We did a major (close to full home) remodel and Travis and his team were professional, timely and great to work with.

Our construction was completed on time and we are SO happy with how everything turned out. We would definitely use this company again and recommend to friends/family.

– Katie

I had a room upgrade and bathroom addition completed by Lamont Bros, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. The space turned out exactly as I envisioned—beautiful, functional, and thoughtfully done.

Their team showed meticulous attention to detail throughout the project, and their careful planning and problem-solving really stood out, especially when navigating more complex aspects of the build.

Remodel Costs

What Does a Home Remodel Cost?

Every Lamont Bros. project is priced to its scope. These ranges come from our own Portland-area projects, and our cost calculators give you an estimate for your home in a few minutes.

Kitchen remodel: $85,000 – $305,000+
Cabinetry and layout changes drive kitchen pricing. A cosmetic refresh updates finishes without moving walls or plumbing ($85K–$120K), a pull-and-replace rebuilds within the existing footprint ($130K–$180K), and a full custom kitchen adds bespoke cabinetry and structural changes ($225K–$305K+). The average Portland kitchen remodel runs about $130,000. Kitchen calculator →

Home addition: $50,000 – $460,000+
Size and foundation are the biggest cost drivers. A small bump-out runs $50K–$120K, a single-story addition $120K–$250K, and a second-story or over-garage addition $250K–$460K. Our Portland additions average about $469 per square foot, and larger additions cost less per square foot because design and permit costs are spread over more space. Addition calculator →

Basement remodel: about $100,000 – $450,000+
Structural work matters more than finish level. Refinishing an existing basement averages about $150 per square foot, partial excavation to full ceiling height about $270, and a full excavation with a house lift $400+. Recent projects have ranged from about $101,000 for a refinish to $454,000 for a full excavation. Basement calculator →
