Northeast Portland Kitchen Update
Contemporary Kitchen Cosmetic Refresh
We were approached by the homeowners of this Northeast Portland home to give their kitchen a cosmetic refresh. The family had recently purchased the home, and while the kitchen worked well, they felt like it wasn’t a good reflection of their personal style. In addition to the kitchen, the homeowners also wanted to update their fireplace and half bathroom.
Because the homeowners didn’t want to totally demolish the kitchen, we were limited to working with the existing kitchen cabinets. Our team shortened a pony wall on the kitchen peninsula to create an even countertop which required careful planning and precision to avoid damaging the surrounding cabinets. We also
had to be mindful of installing tile around the fireplace without damaging the existing mantle.
Ultimately, the homeowners chose to update a handful of finishes to bring new life into their kitchen. We installed new quartz countertops, custom herringbone tile backsplash, plumbing fixtures, and cabinet hardware.
In the end, the homeowners were thrilled with the results of the renovation. The new updated finishes gave the kitchen a fresh, contemporary look, while the updated fireplace and half bath helped to tie the overall home’s visual design together.
