Lake Oswego Minimalist Bathroom Remodel

A JOURNEY TO MODERN ELEGANCE IN A UNIQUE HOME

This home in Lake Oswego faced an unexpected challenge: a leak had damaged the primary bathroom, prompting the homeowners to seek out Lamont Bros. Design & Construction to renovate and upgrade the space.

The primary challenge of this project was integrating new features while maintaining the home’s minimalist aesthetic, crafted by a renowned Japanese architect. Accomplishing this goal involved a careful balance of modernity and adherence to the original design.

The vision was clear: transform the primary bathroom into a modern minimalist suite. The remodel included expanding the bathroom into an adjacent dressing area, installing new vanities, and laying hexagonal tiles on the floors to create a contemporary  aesthetic that calls back to the Japanese origins of the home.

A custom tile shower, new lighting, and updated plumbing fixtures further enhance the minimalist design of the project.

Beyond the primary suite, the homeowners also decided to include a refresh of the basement bathroom. The goal was to create a more welcoming, stylish space while still maintaining affordability. The solution included budget-friendly but high-impact changes including Wetwall shower wall panels, a pre-made vanity, and new flooring. The laundry room also received a modest update, with new flooring and a utility sink, further enhancing the home’s usability and appeal.

Throughout the project, communication was key. Despite the homeowners living out of state during the remodel, our team ensured smooth progress through regular updates and consultations. The result was a seamless integration of our services that ensured the project was complete upon the homeowners’ return to Oregon.

The remodel not only solved the old damaged bathroom but also added value and beauty to the home while also preserving its unique character.
