After living in this Lake Oswego home for over 5 years, the owners decided that two of their bathrooms needed an upgrade. With basic builder-grade design and finishes, these two bathrooms didn’t fit the needs or aesthetics of the homeowners.

What Were the Goals of This Bathroom Remodel?

With a very specific and definitive design style, the owners’ primary motivation to remodel these two full bathrooms was to better look and feel the way they wanted. Their strong preference for modern, geometric features and a natural color palette directed the way our design team approached this project.

What Issues Were They Experiencing With Their Old Space?

The primary issue with the original bathrooms was that they were visually unappealing and needed more lighting. Although the layout of both bathrooms was adequate for the homeowners’ needs, the lack of light and outdated finishes made them less user-friendly than they could have been.

How Did We Solve the Issues With the New Design?

Although our team did not change the general layout of either bathroom, we made major changes to improve both style and functionality. In Bathroom A, we leveraged the existing skylight by removing a dividing wall that separated the toilet and shower from the main area. This allowed light to flow freely throughout, creating a brighter and more open space. For Bathroom B, we replaced dark wallpaper with lighter finishes and added strategically placed lighting fixtures to enhance visibility and make the room feel larger.

Both bathrooms now feature custom floating vanities by Knight Cabinetry, which add modern style with clean lines and geometric appeal.

Additionally, large-format custom tile showers and new skirted toilets contribute to a streamlined, cohesive aesthetic. Bathroom B’s unique Dekton sink required precision planning and custom integration into the cabinetry due to its seamless countertop and basin design.

How Has This Remodel Changed the Client’s Life?

Now that both are completed, the homeowners have two new bathrooms that perfectly reflect their design style and preferences. Since completing this project, the homeowners have been so satisfied with their new bathrooms that they now prefer using them rather than their own primary bathroom!
