Lake Oswego Condo Remodel

For the new owners of this Lake Oswego Condo, the dream was to modernize the entire space before relocating from California. They decided to hire our team Lamont Bros. Design & Construction to help them navigate this transformation and ensure the project’s success.

With the homeowners planning their move to Oregon, nearly all communication and design meetings were conducted virtually. This process required precise coordination and trust, enabling our team to address every detail and keep the project on track despite the owners’ distance.

The primary objective was to update and enhance the entire condo, examining every room to ensure a space that reflected contemporary living standards. One major structural adjustment involved demolishing a wall to create an open concept for the kitchen and living area.

Another challenge was finding a way to maximize the kitchen’s storage and utility. After exploring several options, we decided the best course of action was to relocate the water heater to create a new pantry space. By moving the tank to a less frequently used coat closet, we managed to create more usable storage space in the kitchen.

In addition to the kitchen and living room, this remodel also expanded the primary bathroom.  We rearranged the bathroom layout to accommodate a large custom-tile shower complete with a sleek glass enclosure. These changes helped to maximize the spatial efficiency of the bathroom and provide the features that the owners wanted to include.

In response to community restrictions on traditional fireplaces, we replaced the old one with an LED fireplace. This feature provides the warmth and ambiance of a fireplace without the constraints of a wood or gas-burning variation.

The addition of new LED can lights and lighted mirrors in the bathrooms brought a new ambiance to the condo. These mirrors, equipped with motion sensors and night lights, brought a modern touch that combined convenience with excellent design style.

This extensive remodeling project transformed an outdated condo into a space that meets the needs of contemporary living. In the end, every element was reimagined to fulfill the homeowners’ vision. Through effective virtual collaboration and our team’s adaptive approach, we delivered a space that met the homeowners’ expectations and transformed their lifestyle for the better.
