Common Remodeling Challenges in Beaverton May Include:

Planning Regulations & Flood Zones

Most Beaverton homes that were designed in the 20th century were designed during a time when bathrooms were much smaller and less functional. One common bathroom remodel includes removing walls or redesigning the bathroom to better fit modern needs.

Kristen’s Guest Bathroom Remodel

Kristen and her husband aimed to transform their Lake Oswego guest bathroom into a modern, spa-like retreat.

Our team replaced the outdated tub with a custom shower, aligning the design with the home’s color palette. Despite plumbing challenges, we brought in more natural light and created a serene, monochromatic space. The finished bathroom matched Kristen’s vision, enhancing both its style and functionality.

Master Bathroom Remodel

The Lamont team did a great job with our master bathroom remodel. The project involved a complete tear down and replacement of the shower, bath, sinks, cabinetry, toilet and flooring. Cory talked us through what the project would look like at the very beginning and then stayed connected with us through all the steps. Emily created a 3D design that captured the upgrades we wanted and gave us confidence to move into the build stage. Zeb and Travis did most of the construction and were very detailed oriented. We would recommend Lamont for those looking for a professional remodel team.

Beaverton Bathroom Remodeling Costs

The cost of your bathroom remodel depends on what you want to change. More complicated projects that involve a lot of changes to the space tend to be more expensive. Most bathroom remodels fall into one of three types of projects. Read their descriptions to see which one best fits your expectations for your remodel.

Select One

Cosmetic Refresh

Cosmetic Refresh Bathroom Remodel Costs

HALF BATHROOM
— 25 – 40 SQ FT —
$10,000 – $20,000

FULL BATHROOM
— 40 – 60 SQ FT —
$20,000 – $40,000

PRIMARY BATHROOM
— 60 – 200 SQ FT —
$40,000 – $75,000

Before
After

A cosmetic refresh is a budget-friendly option to update your bathroom’s visual appearance without making major changes to the configuration of the space. This type of remodel is characterized by surface-level updates to fixtures and finishes such as countertops, plumbing fixtures, and flooring.

By using this remodeling method, you can keep the existing layout and major components intact.  It focuses on making small, manageable changes to enhance the bathroom’s appearance without addressing major design flaws.

Features of a cosmetic bathroom refresh may include:

  • Re-finished vanity
  • New paint
  • Updated countertops
  • New plumbing fixtures
  • New flooring
  • Shower enclosure replacement
Pull & Replace

PULL & REPLACE BATHROOM REMODEL COSTS

HALF BATHROOM
— 25 – 40 SQ FT —
$15,000 – $35,000

$35,000 – $60,000

PRIMARY BATHROOM
— 60 – 200 SQ FT —
$60,000 – $120,000

Before
After

A pull-and-replace remodel is a more comprehensive option for your bathroom, going beyond a simple cosmetic refresh. It involves stripping down the entire bathroom to the bare walls and replacing everything, while keeping the layout unchanged.

A pull-and-replace bathroom remodel is great for spaces where the layout works well, but the features and finishes are outdated. This type of remodel can address minor design flaws related to the products used in the bathroom, but it cannot fix layout-related issues.

Features of a pull-and-replace remodel may include:

  • Updated vanity & countertops
  • Fresh paint
  • Shower/ bathtub replacement
  • Updated lighting fixtures
  • New plumbing fixtures
  • New flooring

For a design perfectly tailored to your needs, you may want a full custom bathroom remodel. The most complicated of the 3 types of bathroom remodels, a custom bathroom offers extensive design options and allows for complete flexibility.

In a full custom bathroom remodel, you can rearrange the layout, expand the bathroom, or even relocating it. This type of remodel is more expensive but provides the freedom to design the bathroom according to your preferences.

Features commonly found in a full custom remodel include:

  • Total bathroom layout redesign
  • Major structural changes
  • Updated vanity & countertops
  • Fresh paint
  • New bathtub
  • Custom shower
  • New toilet
  • Updated lighting fixtures
  • New plumbing fixtures

Absolutely. At Lamont Bros., we’re committed to keeping you in charge of the cost of your remodel. One major benefit of the design-build process is that you’ll know exactly how much your remodel will cost before it ever begins construction.

You should think about the timeline for both the design process and the construction process.

It depends primarily on the scope of the project. Simple bathroom remodels can take as little as 3 weeks.  If they are more complex, the remodel can take much longer. Read this article to understand more about bathroom remodel timelines.

Other remodels like whole home remodels can take much longer and some of our largest projects can last up to 18 months or more to do major whole home remodels.
