Description
This midsized kitchen needed an upgrade to both its form and functionality. The homeowners were squeezing their way around some of the tight spaces, making cooking a chore.
Outdated cabinets and other finishes left the space feeling dark and uninviting.
CHALLENGE
Update and open up the kitchen using the existing floor plan and reduce the pinch points throughout the space.
Remove the dark wood cabinetry for something brighter.
Add more storage solutions.
Solution
Using the existing kitchen footprint, we moved the fridge closer to range for better flow and to open up traffic areas to and from the adjacent dining room.
The dark cabinets were replaced with a bright blue. And a custom backsplash added more visual interest. A mixer stand and Lazy Susan provided additional storage.
