A Custom Kitchen Re-Design

The owner of this historic 1911 home in Oregon City decided to remodel her kitchen for the second time after a previous subpar renovation by a different contractor. This time she chose Lamont Bros. – a design build firm that could handle both the design and construction. (Read more…)

The goal of this kitchen remodel was to create a more usable space that would serve her needs as she ages. Our team addressed several issues related to layout and functionality. We rearranged appliance locations for improved efficiency, moving the microwave, dishwasher, and refrigerator to new positions. Understanding the homeowner’s shorter stature, we installed custom-height cabinetry and added drawer dishwasher and microwave units for easier access.

The design incorporated several storage and aesthetic improvements. We installed custom cabinetry for better organization, added floating shelves for additional storage and visual appeal, and incorporated a custom breakfast nook in the kitchen corner. The material selections included Dekton sintered stone countertops and a new tile backsplash to enhance the kitchen’s overall design.

The remodel successfully transformed the previously intimidating and difficult-to-use space into a kitchen tailored specifically to the homeowner’s needs and personal style. Every appliance and shelf is now within comfortable reach, resulting in a much happier homeowner who can now enjoy a kitchen that truly works for her unique requirements.
