CRAFTSMAN RENTAL PROPERTY Repair

After the previous tenants left this 1922 Craftsman-style rental home in serious disrepair, the owners decided to fully remodel it before renting it out again. They enlisted the help of our team at Lamont Bros. to ensure that the project’s designs addressed the necessary repairs and maintained the delicate balance between durability and cost-effectiveness. The rental unit was in desperate need of a whole home remodel. The kitchen cabinets were damaged beyond repair, the flooring needed to be replaced, and drywall throughout the home was destroyed. To add to the challenge, the upstairs bathroom, bedroom, and staircase had not been properly built to meet construction regulations. They needed to be brought up to code.
To solve these challenges, the design team at Lamont Bros. helped the homeowners find cost-effective products and materials that could still withstand constant use over coming years. In the kitchen, we installed all-new Mantra brand cabinets, Wilsonart Thinscape countertops, and stainless steel appliances. These products were selected specifically due to their budget-friendly nature and long-term durability.
The bathroom’s updated design features Wetwall shower wall panels, Mantra brand vanity cabinets, and new light and plumbing fixtures throughout. Throughout the home, we also installed new wood composite core floors from Evoke Flooring. This product is durable, waterproof, and features a realistic wood surface appearance.
Our team completed this Southeast Portland home remodel on time and within the homeowner’s budget, so they were able to put the home back on the rental market.
