Portland Home Additions

Design Process

The design process for your home addition should be full of fun, organized and inspiring. We believe in removing the complexities of home additions and we’ve found that experience, above all else, eliminates the intricacies of the process and allows us to deliver a premium product with exceptional service. When you set up a meeting with us you'll start the process at the comfort of your home or our showroom in West Linn meeting with one of our experienced design consultants. The design consultant will help guide you through all your questions and most importantly create a blueprint for your addition and a solid budget for your project.

Once the project and your budget are defined, our design team will guide you through creating a specific design that meets your goals, hopes and stays on budget. You'll work with our Project Manager, Designer and your Design Consultant. They will make suggestions, create top of the line 3D renderings, and investigate the intricacies of your home to eliminate surprises during construction.

The end of the design process leaves you with detailed permit drawings, every product that's going into your addition defined and a fixed-price construction contract. That enables you to start construction with the confidence that everything possible has been done to make your home addition a great success. Our design-build process makes us a true one-stop-shop. We do it all from start to finish.

Construction Process

The most frustrating part of remodeling for most people is the people working in their home. When are they showing up? Are they showing up today? Why is the subcontractor here asking me questions?

One of the unique parts of working with Lamont Bros. is our in-house remodeling teams. Once we start your project, we're with you from start to finish. Your Remodeling Superintendent is responsible for the on-site management and much of the work that happens day-to-day. He or she will update you every day about the daily work, and give you a weekly snapshot via our project management software once a week.

Our clients love knowing that one superintendent--who they know and like--will be there each day to make progress on their project.

Another important consideration for Portland home additions is that the design blends architecturally with the original home. When all is said and done your additions should appear to be part of the original construction. Our team will make sure that your new addition is both eye-catching and invisible. Two key factors that make a Portland home addition successful!

Long-term relationships

We work hard to build long-term relationships with our clients. You get to know our designers, project managers and field teams throughout the project. Once you work with us on one project you get a resource that you can turn to for any of your remodeling questions or needs even many years after the addition project is complete.
